100 Years of Bauhaus

In 1919 the German architect Walter Gropius founded the Staatliches Bauhaus -commonly known as the "Bauhaus"-, a school of design, architecture and applied arts that became one of the landsmarks of modern art since its ideas had an impact well beyond the school itself and became an artistic movement.

The Bauhaus explored different artistic areas but it was in the field of architecture where it influenced most and where some of the most interesting ideas and proposals of the early twentieth century came from.

If you want to know more, in the Aladí Catalog you can search by subject Bauhaus to see the availability of titles in our libraries.
